Lucknow: The Software Technology Parks of India MedTech Centre of Excellence (STPI MedTech CoE), Lucknow, has been officially onboarded as a Seed Fund Partner under the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS).
This partnership will enable early-stage startups to access critical funding for innovation, prototyping, and scaling.

The STPI MedTech CoE, focused on MediElectronics and Health Informatics, now offers eligible DPIIT-recognized startups the opportunity to secure up to ₹20 lakh as a grant for product development, testing, or proof-of-concept activities.
Additionally, startups can avail seed funding of up to ₹50 lakh for market entry, commercialization, or scale-up through convertible debentures or debt instruments.
STPI MedTech CoE initiative targets high-potential, tech-driven startups working in sectors such as:
- Healthcare IT and Services
- Medical Devices and Biomedical Engineering
- Digital Health and Wearables
- Assistive Technology
- IoT, Machine Learning, Deep Tech and Data Analytics
- Biotechnology, Robotics, and Electronics
To be eligible, startups must:
- Be recognized by DPIIT
- Be less than 2 years old
- Have not received over ₹10 lakh in prior government funding

How to Apply
Startups must register on the Startup India Portal and select AIC STPINEXT INITIATIVES MEDTECH CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE, LUCKNOW as their preferred incubator. Applications will be screened, and shortlisted startups will be invited to present before the ISMC Selection Committee.

This move further reinforces STPI MedTech CoE’s position as a catalyst for healthtech innovation in India, enabling a new generation of startups to build scalable, impact-driven solutions in digital health and biomedical technology.

The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s Make in India and Digital India missions by promoting indigenous development of healthcare equipment and reducing dependence on imports.
In addition to state-of-the-art physical infrastructure, startups at the CoE gain access to a robust ecosystem of domain experts, medical professionals, structured mentorship programs, and opportunities for venture capital funding.
